Small is beautiful.

Living and working in Baltimore City, we are a small team dedicated to the art of place making. We specialize in crafting and maintaining small, interesting, ecologically rich spaces. Our holistic perspective balances aesthetics and practical considerations.

We offer garden coaching, maintenance, and design.

What is ecological gardening?

Ecological [gardening] is a method of designing, building, and maintaining landscapes that considers the ecology of a site and creates gardens that enhance the surrounding environment for the benefit of humans and all other life in the ecosystem.

Maintenance

You love your garden, but it’s gotten to be too much for you to keep up with. Or it’s gotten a bit out of hand, between the heat, the rain, and life! Or maybe you’ve simply decided that your garden can be happily outsourced—leaving you more time to enjoy it.

We offer monthly maintenance, “as needed” maintenance, and one-time clean-outs.

Design/Installation

We can take your garden from where it is now, to where you want it to be.

We approach design from a “maintenance first” perspective, so that your new garden not only looks great initially, but ages well and suits your priorities for many years to come. We know firsthand what is “low maintenance,” and take that into account with our design process so that your space can be easy to keep looking great, saving time and money in the long run.

We offer both complete transformations and renovations of existing gardens, specializing in small urban spaces.
